We are seeking Board Certified Behavior Analysts (BCBA) to provide comprehensive behavior analysis services to students in schools within Chester County.  This is an Independent Contractor position.

 

This is a school year contract position, 190 days of work.  Monday - Friday.  7.5 hours/day.

  • Given the school year contract, the position has the potential to earn up to to $85,500 per annual contract.
  • Can be flexible with part-time availability.

 

Primary Responsibilities:

  • Conduct functional behavioral assessments and write reports summarizing results.
  • Develop positive behavioral supports utilizing evidence-based interventions.
  • Assess a student’s instructional needs and develop appropriate programming.
  • Provide ongoing monitoring of student data and make programming adjustments as needed.
  • Develop tools and work with staff to collect progress-monitoring data on behavioral goals.
  • Train staff on positive behavior support plans and instructional programs and monitor fidelity.

Skills:

  • Effective written and verbal communication skills.

General Responsibilities

The Behavior Analyst is responsible for the development of clinical and educational programming within the classroom they supervise. Basic Qualifications

Education/ Training: Master’s Degree in Applied Behavior Analysis, Clinical Psychology, or a closely related field. Significant experience and training in functional behavior assessment, preference assessment, and the application of behavior analytic interventions for students with significant intellectual/ developmental disabilities and severe challenging behavior. experience in a school setting and/or special education emphasis preferable.

Certifications/ Licensure: successful completion of employer provided certification in CPR, First Aid, Crisis Prevention/ Intervention. A valid US Driver’s license and a minimum of twenty-one (21) years old. Certification as a BCBA required, or must be eligible to sit for exam within 1 year of hiring. Preference given to applicants who already possess this certification.

Skill(s): strong background in education, with an emphasis on special education and the special needs requirements of individuals with acquired brain injury, neurological disorders and autism spectrum disorders. Experience with the principles and applications of Applied Behavior Analysis.

Experience: Minimum of three (3) years teaching and supervising experience in a special education setting.
