DIRECTOR OF CHILDREN’S CLINICAL SERVICES

WHAT WE NEED:
The Director of Children's Clinical Services will be responsible for overseeing the delivery of the Melmark Model of Program Development and Clinical Treatment within the Residential Treatment Facility (residences and corresponding classrooms in the school) and within Children's residential homes.
WHAT YOU’LL DO:
The position will ensure the integrity of clinical service delivery across identified programs and will take a lead role in the advancement of evidence based clinical systems. This position will work in concert with the Senior Director of Clinical Services and Professional Development Director to establish and implement a clinical system of care that adheres to the standards of excellence within the field of Applied Behavior Analysis demonstrating the least restrictive yet most effective treatment approach. This position will require the employee to maintain a flexible working schedule, play an interactive role with residential and school personnel and provide onsite presence across the programs.
The position of Director of Children's Clinical Services requires this employee to have proficient skills in working with children and young adults who exhibit complex behavior disorders sometimes including life threatening behavior disorders. The employee must have experience working with students who have had multiple treatment failures and/or the treatment history of use of aversives, mechanical and chemical restraint as clinical interventions. This individual must be willing to work directly with students who display intense aggressive and self- injurious behaviors. This individual must have proven training and direct experience with behavior management strategies, be proficient with the science of Applied Behavior Analysis, implementing functional analysis, be able to demonstrate bringing applied research to practice and demonstrate a clinical skill set that emphasizes a most effective least restrictive approach towards program design. This position requires active supervision of Behavior Analysts, Behavior Specialists, Program Managers and direct care personnel in the RTF facilities and the group homes.
The position requires the individual to adhere to the Behavior Analyst Certification Board Professional and Ethical Compliance Code for Behavior Analysts (2014) and to the Ethical Principles of Psychologists and Code of Conduct (2002).

About This Opportunity
Under our wrap-around umbrella, Devereux Community Services is currently seeking a Clinical Coordinator - Board Certified Behavior Analyst (BCBA) that will be based in East Falls, PA. This supervisory position requires the BCBA/D to provide oversite for clinical services in our community-based ABA programs within Philadelphia County. The chosen candidate will coordinate, supervise, and oversee the development and implementation of the FBA and individualized Behavior Intervention Plans (BIP), to include supervision of the Licensed Behavior Specialist (LBS) and Therapeutic Support Staff (TSS) assigned to the BHRS child and/or adolescent.
The ideal candidate will be able to help with coordination of trainings in relevant community based services as well as providing parent/family training and coaching, as needed. In addition, they will act as a consultant to the child's team (family, school, and any additional BHRS members, including TSS and MT) and provide feedback to the team and MCO regarding the progress of the child/adolescent, as requested.
